The main focus of the Admission Committee is the success of the prospective student in the environment of Marian High School for the entire four years of her high school experience. Therefore, our admission procedure covers many aspects:
- Past performance
Admission to Marian High School is competitive and based on the following criteria:
- Performance on the S.T.S. High School Placement Test
- Academic records and previous standardized testing
- Completion of Marian’s admission application form
Each admission decision will be made on an individual basis. All transfer applicants will be interviewed.
As an extension of the academic program of Marian High School, the athletic program strives to contribute to the development of mature, competent, and caring Christian women through participation in organized sports. Athletics provide opportunities for the development of discipline, self control, confidence, perseverance, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Student Life at Marian offers young women the opportunity to stretch their minds, use their imaginations, and challenge themselves by engaging in extracurricular activities. At Marian, there is something for everyone – from joining local chapters of National Honor Society, to participating in the democratic process through Model United Nations, to exploring the world of performing arts as a member of the Marian-Rice Players Performing Arts group. Participation in extracurricular activities provides a sense of camaraderie, the discipline of cooperative effort, and training in shared responsibility and leadership, as well as commitment and caring about others.
